Congratulations on becoming a new parent! What an exciting season for you and your baby to start getting to know each other- morning… noon… and typically, alllll night! Here at Motion Fitness and Massage, we understand that your new schedule can be exhausting and overwhelming, yet incredibly rewarding. We encourage you and your child can share your love of movement. Please join us in a class made exclusively for parents and babies to interact in a safe, healthy environment where nature and nurture go hand in (tiny, new) hand! 

Prepare to experience the refreshing joy of taking care of your body with the little person who loves you most. You can expect a great workout designed to help you regain the strength and stamina necessary to keep up with your little one.

What if my Baby Cries 

 

We understand that new parents often fear the distractions their little ones may cause when they leave the comfort of their own home, we are all parents here so don’t worry. We will work with you and your baby, sometimes in the stroller or carrier and sometimes with baby out to allow more interaction.

A Typical Class:
  • Small classes of other new parents 
  • Baby is in the stroller most of class
  • Full Body Workout including 
    • Cardio â€‹
    • Full Body Strength
  • Interactive exercises with Baby throughout entire workout
Diastasis Recti

 

Not sure if you have Diastasis Recti?  We are happy to help by performing a quick assessment.  If we feel you do have Diastasis Recti, abdominal seperation, we will offer you modifications for many of the abdominal exercises and refer you to your doctor for specific do's and don'ts since all cases are unique.  We are here to help you and your post-pardum body recover in a safe and healthy way.   

What to Bring:
  • Stroller 

  • Blanket and toys for Baby 

  • Optional carrier (this will be an option during some parts of class)

About the Instructor:

 

Amy Spetnagel has been a certified fitness pro since 2006.  Amy's wellness journey began during her first pregnancy when she realized  that taking good care of her own health was vital to being a great mom.  She loves all forms of exercise and movement and has a passion for sharing that with others.  She uses fitness as a tool to support others to achieve their goals. "Working out give me the strength, confidence and patience I need to live a strong life, " says Amy when asked what drives her to fitness.
